Annabelle: Creation is the horror sequel we never asked for but always wanted. A doll maker and his wife lose their daughter to an accident. Soon after, strange occurrences start to happen in their house. Thinking the entity is their daughter’s spirit, they invite it to take over one of his dolls, which turns out to be a big mistake. Coming off from Lights Out director David F. Sandberg breathes new life into the Annabelle franchise and sets up the continuing The Conjuring franchise with The Nun. The cast includes Anthony LaPaglia of Empire Records fame and Miranda Otto from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Annabelle: Creation has everything you need for a good scare and makes the atmosphere unnerving as you don’t know what will make you jump next.
If you are a fan of The Conjuring movies or any of the James Wan movies such as Insidious and Dead Silence, then this one is a winner. Not only does it make up for the lackluster Annabelle, it has one of the best creative tie-in endings to a movie I have ever seen. Check it out.
